Photovoltaics on industrial units
What makes the installation of photovoltaic on the roofs of commercial units attractive?
Firstly, the prices for PV-systems have fallen significantly in recent years, so that the production rates of solar power for larger systems currently are between net 11-13 cents / kWh. Basically this makes photovoltaics economically interesting. In addition, a PV system on a large commercial roof can be installed efficiently. Fixed costs such as the one for the meter box or remote monitoring are divided on many kilowatts. This improves the efficiency again. The biggest advantage is that, in most cases, a large part of the current can be used directly by the commercial unit under the roof. Enterprises can economically produce electricity with its own solar power system and no longer need to buy it expensive.
How much own-consumption is possible?
It is decided by the power consumption in the course of the day. We take as an example a company with a permanent power consumption of about 20 kWh. Due to the size of the roof, we could install a PV system of about 120 kWp. The own-power consumption would be to nearly 100%.
Energy Storage System for private households
It was for many years the dream of many owners of a photovoltaic system: not only to feed the energy in the grid, but to be able to consume it by nearly 100%. So far, however, there were no batteries to store the electricity for cloudy days or at night. This is now changing as more and more companies bring efficient batteries on the market.
In addition, it is financially worthwhile to fully utilize the power itself. Because the feed-in tariff for solar photovoltaic systems has now fallen below 15 cents per kilowatt hour. And it continues downward. At the same time the electricity from the grid costs in some regions now more than 25 cents. And the prices are rising. The wider this gap becomes, the more attractive the personal consumption gets.
Previously, it was so that solar system owners came in skillful timing only on individual use of 30 percent. Washing machines, adjustable refrigerators and freezers ran when the sun was shining.
Batteries that store electricity can greatly increase this percentage. The batteries take the power from the roof when it is not immediately consumed and return it when there is a need. So far solar system owners failed to the high cost of such systems. However, the price trend for these systems is downward so might look to a great future.
Efficient lighting with LED
The most important advantage of LED lamps is their energy efficiency, which is the highest among lamps. If you compare LEDs with its competitors, LEDs convert most of the energy into light. A 60-watt traditional light bulb has a luminosity of about 600 lumens. A current LED bulb that generates 600 lumens, consumes only 8 W.
In the meantime all traditional bulbs and lamps can be replaced by LED.
Our LED - Lighting solutions help companies to big savings on utility bills. The energy consumption is reduced to 65%. You protect the environment too!
